Impossible

What does that mean? I hear people at work complain all-day about impossible tasks and work, impossible situations at home, impossible traffic etc. I think that we became accustomed to complaining and taking common things as something too hard and impossible to handle. Some things are impossible, for instance: have a face/body like those on the covers of the magazines. But other things are fairly manageable if we just give them a try. So what do you think? Is the society guilty with all this depressive talk about financial depression or is the world in some kind of moral crises?

And to give us some hope :) here are inspiring quotes:
"Impossible is just a big work thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!!"— Addias

Earth Day

Today is the day when we are supposed to stop and think about our environment. Are we aware that this is the only planet in the known universe that is suitable for us? Is this so hard to comprehend or we just think that we are indestructible? How long are we going to keep up with this heedless behaviour? Please people, start thinking and doing something for your home planet! Here are a few suggestions on what you can do to make a difference:

  • Save energy: Did you know that if each of us replaces just one normal light bulb with a compact fluorescent bulb, in a year we’d save enough energy to light 3 million homes?

  • Save energy: Recycle your old batteries

  • Reuse: Bring reusable linen bags to the store instead of using plastic bags – they are easier to use, don’t rip & hold more.

  • Reuse: Did you know that if we all bought just one pack of toilet paper made with recycled paper we could save 1.3 billion galleons of water?

I hope this post has started you thinking about our only inhabitant!
Have a great Earth Day!

P.S. Thanks to The Sisterhood of Jaunty Quills and today’s blogger Emily McKay for introducing this problem. Visit them on http://jauntyquills.com/

A strange book...

...well not in a bad way, no. It's just that I couldn’t decide whether I liked the main character - Dante - or not. I liked Heather, Lucien and the other characters, plot was also very good. Just the main male character wasn't very loveable. Also, a lot of things are left unsaid or maybe the author thought that you should have had some previous knowledge about the angels and vampire mythology.
I've ordered the next book in series - In the Blood - I'm very interested how the story will develop.
I recommend reading this book if you like darker books and a lot of mystery - I do :)

A Very Good Book
I started reading Catherine Anderson's book called Phantom Waltz yesterday afternoon wanting to read just a chapter or two and couldn't put it down. Took a break just to shower and iron my clothes for tomorrow and continued reading until 2 a.m. You can conclude that I think the book is great. Although I like all CA's books. Here's how the story goes:
It all starts when wealthy rancher Ryan Kendrick meets and instantly falls hard—and fast—for lovely Bethany Coulter. She's absolutely perfect—in every way but one... A long-ago barrel-racing accident has left Bethany confined to a wheelchair. In the years since, she has known both betrayal and heartbreak—and vowed never to open her heart to a man again. She has even accepted the possibility that she'll never be able to enjoy a healthy intimate relationship—or have children of her own. But there's something about handsome Ryan Kendrick...
Absolutely love it!
The book is a part of Coulter/Kendrick series. They are loosely connected so you don't have to read them in order.

Have a nice day!
