Earth Day
Today is the day when we are supposed to stop and think about our environment. Are we aware that this is the only planet in the known universe that is suitable for us? Is this so hard to comprehend or we just think that we are indestructible? How long are we going to keep up with this heedless behaviour? Please people, start thinking and doing something for your home planet! Here are a few suggestions on what you can do to make a difference:
Today is the day when we are supposed to stop and think about our environment. Are we aware that this is the only planet in the known universe that is suitable for us? Is this so hard to comprehend or we just think that we are indestructible? How long are we going to keep up with this heedless behaviour? Please people, start thinking and doing something for your home planet! Here are a few suggestions on what you can do to make a difference:
- Save energy: Did you know that if each of us replaces just one normal light bulb with a compact fluorescent bulb, in a year we’d save enough energy to light 3 million homes?
- Save energy: Recycle your old batteries
- Reuse: Bring reusable linen bags to the store instead of using plastic bags – they are easier to use, don’t rip & hold more.
- Reuse: Did you know that if we all bought just one pack of toilet paper made with recycled paper we could save 1.3 billion galleons of water?
I hope this post has started you thinking about our only inhabitant!
Have a great Earth Day!
